8 Tips for Creating a Compelling Tallo Profile

Through our partnership with Tallo, SC Future Makers has been able to reach virtually every high school in South Carolina to empower students to create profiles on Tallo and get seen by colleges and companies.

But how do you make sure your profile has the right materials to help you stand out to colleges and employers. Here are some tips for making a good profile:

  1. Complete Your Profile: Fill in all sections, including your bio, education, skills, and interests. A complete profile is more attractive to recruiters.
  2. Highlight Achievements: Include awards, certifications, projects, and any relevant experiences that showcase your skills and accomplishments.
  3. Use a Professional Photo: A clear, professional-looking photo can make a great first impression.
  4. Be Specific: Detail your skills and experiences clearly and specifically. Use metrics where possible to quantify your achievements.
  5. Showcase Your Work: Upload samples of your work, such as portfolios, videos, or presentations, to provide evidence of your abilities.
  6. Seek Endorsements: Ask teachers, mentors, or colleagues to endorse your skills and write recommendations.
  7. Keep It Updated: Regularly update your profile with new achievements, skills, and experiences to keep it current and relevant.
  8. Network: Connect with peers, educators, and professionals in your field to build a robust network.

By following these tips, you can create a strong and attractive profile on Tallo that effectively showcases your potential.
