South Carolina’s STEM Signing Day is an exciting event that honors high school seniors committed to pursuing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers. Much like athletic signing days, this event celebrates students as they announce their plans to attend college and embark on STEM-related fields. Sponsored by industry leaders, STEM Signing Day underscores the importance of nurturing future talent to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in these crucial areas. It’s a proud moment for students, their families, and the broader community. 

The 8th Annual SC STEM Signing Day occurred on May 8, 2024 in Columbia, South Carolina. Thanks to the support of the Boeing Company, BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC, Michelin North America, and Nucor, 64 South Carolina high school seniors were able to participate in this year’s ceremony. More than 700 South Carolinians have participated in SC STEM Signing Day since its creation.
