Almost fifty percent of Blanchard's workforce are diesel technicians. Technicians are responsible for getting the machine, generator, truck, or vessel back in operation so that South Carolina continues to grow. We are proud to offer three programs for new diesel technicians.
ThinkBIG
Blanchard Machinery Company, in conjunction other Caterpillar dealers has developed the Caterpillar Dealer Academy (CDA) to train individuals in our specific service needs. The CDA is a cooperative two-year college-level student technician education program. Upon graduation, you will receive an associate degree in applied science with a major in Caterpillar Service Technology.
Blanchard Boost Program
The Blanchard Boost Program was created for individuals who want to go right to work while learning. This fast-paced program allows interested candidates who have no technical experience to begin learning the necessary skills to become an entry level technician in one of our many shop locations.
Technicians in this program will learn our vision, mission, and values, safety procedures, electrical and electronic troubleshooting, hydraulics, diesel engine fundamentals, and much more. While a Boost technician is learning, he or she is receiving coaching and mentoring from one of our many seasoned technicians. Most importantly a boost technician is earning a paycheck while learning.
Blanchard BoostMax
This program is open to military veterans who have served our country as technicians, automotive technicians, 2-year technical school or community automotive or diesel college graduates.
Boost Max technicians will learn who Blanchard is by learning our vision, mission, and values, safety practices, Caterpillar advanced electrical and hydraulic systems, and troubleshooting techniques
