Empowering South Carolina’s Educators to Shape the Workforce of Tomorrow

The South Carolina Educator Industry Academy (EIA) connects educators with South Carolina’s vibrant manufacturing industry, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to guide students toward high-demand career opportunities. Through site visits, hands-on activities, and industry exposure, participants will gain firsthand insight into the skills and pathways that define today’s modern manufacturing careers.

About the Program

Over the course of a year, educators will engage in a series of dynamic sessions designed to deepen their understanding of South Carolina’s manufacturing sector. Participants will:

  • Learn about the types of careers, training pathways (including apprenticeships), and scholarship opportunities available to students.
  • Gain practical strategies to integrate workforce readiness into elementary, middle, and high school curricula.
  • Build direct connections with South Carolina’s business and industry leaders.
  • Develop an action plan to apply new knowledge within their schools or districts.

Who Should Apply?

The Academy welcomes a range of educational leaders, including:

  • Superintendents
  • Principals and Assistant Principals
  • Career Specialists and School Counselors
  • Central Office Staff
  • Teachers with a minimum of three years of classroom experience
